CAD Technician

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a full time CAD design technician to join the Hygenius team.

The role of the Technician is to work within the Pre-Construction team and to provide a wide range of design outputs. This role will report to the Design Manager.

The main tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Development of concept designs to produce working drawings for client approval
• Generation of fabrication drawings
• Production of layout & installation drawings

Key Responsibilities:

• Bespoke product design
• Generation of fabrication drawings
• Production of room layouts & installation drawings
• Liaising with internal & external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
• Attendance and participation at both internal & external design review meetings
• Compliance with ISO9001 quality management systems.

Key Skills, Attributes & Experience:

• HNC/HND or equivalent professional qualification
• Previous relevant design experience [preferably within joinery/fitted furniture environment]
• Sound technical background and detailed knowledge of CAD
• Revit experience desirable but not essential
• Strong work ethic
• Strong decision-making & problem solving abilities. Ownership is key.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a constantly changing workload
• Knowledge of and ability to apply value-engineering principles
• Proactive approach, passion to succeed and a desire to produce quality outcomes
