Role Overview & Responsibilities

*Humans Cornwall are supporting people to find personal assistants. The role may be a private arrangement or funded through a Direct payment*

Location: Blackwater

Female personal assistant required to support a 22-year-old young lady located in the TR4 area. Initially summertime cover but may become a permanent post. She is on the autistic spectrum, has moderate learning difficulties and is dyspraxic.

The ideal candidate will be fun, outgoing love all animals, in particular dogs, willing to go out and do things that she enjoys doing such as shopping, walking her dog, beach visits and going for hot chocolate.

No personal care required.

Being able to drive is essential, as is a full, clean UK driving license to be able to drive her motability car and assist getting her to appointments, meet friends and go to places of interest. A DBS check will also be required.

Hourly rate of pay: £10.90 / £13.54 if self employed

Total hours: Hours required are 8 - 16 hours per week. Days to be discussed but are flexible.

Essential:

- Animal lover - family have dogs, pigs, chickens`

Desirable:

- Previous experience supporting someone with learning disabilities and/or autism

- Qualification in health care
