Job title: Office Administrator

We are looking for someone to join our office admin team on a temporary basis to help us in our busy summer period.

To be responsible for:

  • Answering the telephone, transferring calls and taking messages
  • Keeping filing up to date
  • Carrying out document scanning as required
  • Photocopying as required, including IDs, passports, visas
  • Inputting data in the HR database as directed
  • Helping colleagues with queries
  • Shredding as required
  • Minute taking as required
  • Create posters and help organise social events
  • Keep notice boards up to dates
  • Helping with meeting and greeting visitors and ensure they sign in
  • Helping with taking in any deliveries and ensuring that the appropriate person knows they have arrived
  • Helping with opening the post, stamping with the date and distributing as appropriate
  • Helping with stamping incoming invoices with the date, stamping with sign off box and distributing
  • Help input weekly and daily timesheets into Crop Picker
  • Help order Bank Cards for new employees
  • Assisting colleagues with admin tasks, including Health and Safety administration and on-boarding of employees
  • Assisting with archiving following GDPR requirements and legal responsibilities
  • Assisting with seasonal recruitment
  • Assisting with audit preparation
  • Any other tasks to ensure the smooth running of the business

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn about business administration and has an interest in understanding how a soft fruit farm operates.

Ideal candidate:

  • To have a collaborative approach and willingness to listen
  • To be punctual, reliable and self-motivated

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English

Desirable skills

  • Basic understanding of outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word and Power Point

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 4 - 6 months
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week

Salary: From Β£10.42 per hour
