Are you technically minded with a keen interest in IT? We have an exciting opportunity for a join our IT department at Hillarys as Junior Support Technician. Ideal for anyone looking to kick start their career in IT, whilst discovering what area of IT you want to specialise in.
Hillarys are part of the Hunter Douglas group, so this roles main responsibility is to provide day to day technical support to over 700 IT users across the multiple businesses, located all over the UK. You’ll be managing system access on a Monday morning, building devices and troubleshooting hardware issues, or providing that business critical IT system support. You’ll be the face of IT to the business, and be the first point of call for any IT issues.
You’ll be working alongside your Senior Technical colleagues to support a range of users and devices across the business, and get involved in exciting IT projects such as new software rollout or network improvements and upgrades. There’ll be lots of on the job training provided, and you’ll be based in a supportive, mentoring environment where you are able to learn the industry.
An IT qualification would be beneficial for this role, however you need to be able to show that you have a desire to pursue a career in IT, and a real passion for learning new skills, solving problems and self-development.
This role is office based working on one of three rotating support shifts between 7:30am – 6pm, Monday to Friday. You’ll be joining a sociable team and working with like-minded individuals with the freedom to explore what interests you in IT.
