Role Overview & Responsibilities

Part time - 20 hours per week

Hightown Surgery is a friendly GP practice close to Horton Hospital. We are part of Banbury Alliance PCN.

Banbury is a growing market town on the edge of the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds, close to Oxford, Stratford on Avon, Warwick and Bicester Village.

Good choice of schools, both private and state.

Excellent transport links to London, Birmingham and the rest of the UK, both by rail and motorway.

The ideal candidate will be proactive with excellent organisational skills and be confident with IT.

You will be working closely with our excellent administrative and clinical teams.

Previous experience in either the NHS/Pharmacy would be an advantage.

You will have good communication skills, strong written and spoken English both face to face and over the telephone. You must like dealing with people and be able to work in a busy environment.

You should live within a commutable distance of Banbury and be available to work Monday to Friday.

Job Summary

To support the practice Reception/Patient Services team and Clinical Pharmacy team to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and efficient systems for repeat prescribing.

Job Responsibilities

• To support the Clinical Pharmacy and Reception/Patient Services teams in dealing with prescription requests.
• To take a proactive approach to the safe handling of prescriptions.

Salary is dependent on experience. NHS Pension.

Salary: From £10.42 per hour
