Role Overview & Responsibilities

Haddenham Garden Centre is an independent family owned business that has been established for over 40 years.

Our clothing department works in partnership with premium lifestyle brands with strong heritage and values such as Joule’s and Barbour to offer an on-trend range of women’s, men’s and children’s clothing as well as fashionable footwear and beautiful accessories to help our customers dress with creativity and confidence throughout the seasons.

Our Clothing Assistant role supports the team to ensure our customers have the best possible experience in our store by offering assistance, promoting the brands and creating a memorable shopping experience for our customers.

The position is part time, (15 hours per week at weekends) Saturday 09:00 am to 17:30 pm, Sunday 09:30 am to 17:00 pm. This position is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities:

Help us to deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrating thorough knowledge of our brands, their heritage and values

Support the store manager to drive sales and profitability within the department

Work with our Visual Merchandising Manager to implement promotional displays, merchandising standards and housekeeping throughout the seasons

General housekeeping to ensure high standards of presentation are maintained

Carry out everyday duties such as stock replenishment, facing up and stock taking

Unpack deliveries and price for sale

Use our EPOS system to maintain and update our stock inventory as required

Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work flexibly across departments if required

About you:

Previous experience in fashion retail desirable

Demonstrate creativity and artistic flair

Self-motivated individual who can use their own initiative and manage their own time effectively

Great interpersonal skills

Smart appearance

Competent with technology and stock systems
