Role Overview & Responsibilities

DAY Shunter DRIVER – Shotton

GSL are an award-winning transport, shipping and storage company, operating within the UK and Ireland with a modern fleet of over 500 vehicles across the group.

Having built a reputation for delivering exceptional customer service, and with an established team of over 170 employees, the business is continuing to grow year on year.

We are currently looking to recruit DAY LGV C+E drivers to work from our Shotton depot. The work will involve trailer movements from the docks or other sites to our yard locations, providing an excellent service for all our UK customers.

Potential earnings £39,780.00

Includes £7 daily meal allowance (Tax free)

In addition this you can also earn up to £40 per week / £2,080.00 a year fuel bonus!

£15 per hour Saturday, 10 hours guaranteed

£16.20 per hour Sunday, 10 hours guaranteed

Key Responsibilities include:

• Ensure strict adherence to tacho regulations
• Ensure the safe use of the national road network in line with the road transport laws and regulations.
• Undertake daily inspections of vehicles and trailers and complete either a Nil Defect Report or a defect Report, as necessary.
• Ensure that the vehicle is loaded correctly and securely.
• Demonstrate strict adherence to both on-site and off-site Health and Safety Regulations, reporting any breaches to site management immediately
• Making sure that the vehicle is kept in a clean and tidy condition in line with company requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £33,000.00 per year
