Community Health Care Assistant (Ambulance Support Service)- NHS

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Greater Peterborough Network (GPN) is a GP Federation supporting the 29 GP Surgeries in the area and 4 practices across Wisbech. We are looking to hire HCAs to join our existing HCA team as part of our Ambulance Support Service. This is to support convenyence reduction working alongside the ambulance service. This will be non planned, reactive work to see patients who have been in contact with the ambulance service.

This is an exciting time to join an innovative and forward thinking at scale Primary Care organisation. Our HCA services are one of a number of planned innovative at scale community services that support our member practices and the local health system to transform and integrate Out of Hospital services.

You will be trusted to manage your time effectively, ensuring patients receive the care they need in a timely way. You will receive support and supervision from our Lead Nurse and operational team.

You will be covering the Peterborough and Huntingdon area doing home visits for patients in their homes

• Venepuncture
• Blood pressure checks
• Pulse Oximetry

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

This service is 8:00am - 20:00pm, 7 days a week.

We are looking to recruit:

Monday - Friday 17:00pm - 20:00pm

Shift work on a Saturday and Sunday - 08:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 20:00

Salary: £10.75-£12.50 per hour
