Goldsmiths Department of Design is internationally renowned for its inventive, experimental and critical engagement with social and cultural life and the role of designers and design therein. We have enjoyed a long history of redefining the discipline of design and how design studies combine with practice-led research-through-design. The research practices in the department are variously marked by their ongoing commitment to forms of social and political engagement and the radical rethinking of design as a key mediator in contemporary issues.
The department now seeks an experienced researcher and lecturer within HE, with a significant profile in research and or enterprise activities in Design. You will be passionate about the value and identity of practice research and will have leadership experience to be able to support and develop the environment and culture of research and enterprise within the Department. You will be capable and motivated to teach history, theory and context elements of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and be an experienced supervisor of MPhil/PhD students as well as being comfortable collaborating and building relationships both internally within Goldsmiths and with external organisations to support the practice and conduct of research and enterprise.

Salary: £58,462.00-£65,336.00 per year
