Care Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Working 12- or 6- hour shifts, 8am to 2pm, 2pm to 8pm.

Please note: we are not in a position to sponsor an applicant from overseas.

Experienced care assistant sought for homely, friendly residential care home in Dorchester. 8am - 8pm (or morning or afternoon), 3 or 4 days a week including some weekends to provide overnight care for 20+ residents with other carers on duty.

As we are a care home an Enhanced DBS Check will be required before commencing work.

Duties include:

Assist residents who need help with getting up in the morning or going to bed at night, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing, toileting and feeding.

Assist with residents' activities and participation in social events.

Promote and ensure a high standard of order in the Home and an atmosphere suitable for the physical, mental and spiritual needs of the residents.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.90-£11.40 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Weekend availability

As a care home, proper hygiene is fundamental and essential. All staff are encouraged to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, practice safe working practices including hand hygiene and correct use of PPE.
