Role Overview & Responsibilities

Glasgow East End Community Carers are looking to employ experienced and non-experienced care workers for permanent positions full time and part time, evenings, and weekend work available, you will be working in the North and East End of Glasgow.

If you have a caring nature, we would love to hear from you. The role would involve supporting vulnerable adults and children at home and within the community.

Responsibilities include providing personal care, housework, medication management, supporting our service users in the community, companionship, housing support and assisting with day-to-day activities.

Successful candidates will have:

• Have a current PVG or be willing to join the scheme.
• Have SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) membership or be willing to join the scheme.
• A can-do, positive attitude.
• Be kind, caring, and strive to provide the highest level of care and support possible to vulnerable service users.
• The ability to confidently work alone and as part of a wider team.
• Be able to work using your own initiative.
• Car driver - preferable but not essential.
• Evenings and weekends will be part of your shift pattern.

• You must hold at least SVQ2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards it.
