Role Overview & Responsibilities

With a multi-million-pound investment transforming Future’s hazardous waste treatment and recovery services in Honiton, an exciting position has risen for a new Waste Transfer Operative. This is a full time, permanent role reporting to the Transfer Station Supervisor. Much of the work is conducted outdoors and involves bulking and sorting wastes for shipment and final disposal.

You will be required to operate a forklift truck; assist with waste collections on occasion and work well within a small team.

To apply you must be comfortable working outside in all weathers and having a driving licence with less than 6 penalty points would be preferable although not essential.

You must be conscientious to work as part of a team, demonstrate strong awareness of compliance with environmental as well as health and safety issues.

Following our company induction and on-job-training, if not already held, we will provide training in operating a forklift. There is a possibility for the right candidate to be supported through an HGV apprenticeship and progress onto driving.
