Warehouse Operative days

Role Overview & Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Warehouse Operatives to join a very busy Distribution Centre based in Dartford.

We are a well-established storage and Distribution Centre of fresh produce from worldwide exporters, growers and importers, with particular expertise in delivering to the UK wholesale markets.

Previous experience working within a fast-paced chilled fresh produce warehouse environment would be an advantage (FLT, LLOP drivers)but not essential as full training would be provided.

Duties to include:

· Pallets are put away in location and recorded on our WMS system using hand held scanner equipment, whilst ensuring pallets are located correctly and safely

· Ensure Team Leader is notified of any changes to expected load

· Breakdown pallets as required to meet customer delivery totals, specifications, including box end labelling pallets in accordance with instructions given

· Ensure pallets are scanned using WMS through the various functions between receipt and dispatch

· Load vehicles in accordance with manifest and load plan

· Ensure all products are scanned and recorded through the various systems

· Maintain Warehouse hygiene standards

· Maintain high standards of Health & Safety on site at all times

Requirements:

• Forklift and Pallet Truck Trained (not essential)
• Good organisation skills
• Self-motivated
• Team player
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Reliability and dependability
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
• The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Working hours:

· Full time basic 45 hours per week

Shifts:

Days: 1pm to 10pm;

· Salary £25,553 PA plus overtime rate £14.52 (any 5 days in 7 days)

Owing to our location, own transport is required.
