Delivery Driver

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are a family-owned company that supplies goods to the Engineering, Manufacturing & Construction industries, due to retirement we are seeking a new individual to join our delivery / warehouse team.

Based in Romford, we deliver to London, Essex and Kent in our own fleet of Panel vans (under 3.5T). The ideal candidate will be a motivated, trustworthy and a team player, as a customer facing representative of the company they must also be polite and presentable.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Checking & loading all deliveries onto the vehicle in a safe & secure manner.

NOTE: Some items are upto 20kg, so must be comfortable with heavy lifting

• Unloading of goods at destination, obtaining a Proof of Delivery from the recipient
• Following any safety instructions or requirements that may be in place at the delivery location.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and roadworthiness of vehicles.
• Assisting within the warehouse when not out delivering.

What we require:

• A trustworthy, competent, honest individual.
• Over 21 years of age (insurance requirement).
• License held for minimum 3 year’s
• Atleast 1 year’s van delivery experience
• Ideally have multi-drop experience (not essential)
• Ideally knowledge of delivery areas (not essential as vehicles have sat-nav)

This position has an immediate start date for the right person.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £22,500.00-£25,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Delivery driver experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Driving: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
