
Blending/Warehouse Operative (Night Shift)
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity for a Blending Operative to join our team. The primary purpose of this role is to work as part of a team, taking in all raw teas and blending in line with product specifications/recipes and ensure that production is continually supplied with required levels of tea.
4.5 DAYS PER WORKING WEEK (MONDAY TO FRIDAY)

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for unloading all incoming containers of tea, weighing in and logging on the ERP system and stored in the correct manner.
- Responsible for ensuring that all batches of tea are blended to the Tea Buyers Specifications.
- Ensure all blended teas are transported to production and allocated to the correct packing lines.
- To ensure that daily Blending targets are achieved in line with departmental KPI’s.
- Responsible for the completion of all necessary paperwork in line with SOP’s to ensure all completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in clearing any tea waste created during the operation process and identifying any product which can be reused in the manufacturing process.
- Ensuring that safe working practices and good housing keeping standards are adhered to.
- To work in a flexible manner, with the ability of working across different functions across the Organisation
- Work in close partnership with fellow Blending Operatives to promote shared knowledge, transfer of skills and experience.
- Develop relationships, working practices and effective communication channels with colleagues within other departments, working together in the joint ownership of any issues and problem-solving activities.
- Promote and work within the Finlays values in all tasks that are completed to ensure that the organisation can strive to achieve its Core Purpose.
- Take an active role in identifying personal training needs and show an enthusiasm to learn and develop within the role of Blending Operative.
- Ensure that you follow and adhere to Company Policies and Procedures (e.g. Hygiene Policy and the Attendance Policy.
We are looking for candidates with:
- To have a working knowledge of a Food Manufacturing/Warehousing Environment
- Forklift Truck Licence (Reach/Flexi/Counterbalance)
- Basic understanding of quality awareness and food hygiene standards
- Ability to understand basic instructions and work to SOP’s/SWP’s
