Role Overview & Responsibilities

Leading small ruminant breeding company located near Shrewsbury, Shropshire requires an AI Technician / Trainee Embryologist. Prior embryology experience is an advantage but not essential.

This is a full time position with paid overtime and weekend work at our AI Centre and on farms throughout England, Wales, Scotland and overseas.

Job will involve

· Management and feeding of sheep and goats

· Assisting with Artificial insemination and embryo transfer

· Small ruminant anaesthesia

· Embryology (training provided)

· Accurate data collection and recording

The ideal applicant will:

· be willing to work long hours

· be able to comprehend reasonably complex tasks

· have good numeracy skills

· have good communication skills

· be able to work as part of a team and unsupervised

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £23,400.00-£24,960.00 per year
