Front of House Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a FarmED Front of House team member you will be working as part of a small team looking after our cafe visitors as well as the range of guests and visitors attending courses and events. There may be a light lunch for 10 farmers one day, a seasonal feast for 100 conference guests the next, and every day in the cafe is different!

This is a Monday to Friday vacancy with usual hours 11am to 3pm to cover the busier lunch period but some flexibility is needed and equally a 4 day working week, (excluding Mondays) will be considered for the right candidate.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience of working in a hospitality environment, cafe, restaurant, hotel or venue
• Be fluent in English
• Have bags of enthusiasm
• Enjoy being a flexible team player with a positive, can do attitude & good communication skills
• Be able to drive and have your own transport due to the remote location
• Share the FarmED vision and core values; be environmentally conscious & have an interest in regenerative farming & food production.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside the Cafe Supervisor and FOH team to look after visitors to the Cafe; making coffee, waiting on tables, taking orders and clearing up.
• Look after visitors attending courses, serving refreshments & lunches.
• Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure that the cake counter maintains stocked with no wastage
• Ensure that the standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times, especially at the end of service
• Be an ambassador for FarmED in all you do.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks designated by the Group Director & Operations Manager.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: £12.00 per hour

Experience:
