Role Overview & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Administrative support to the Design Team
  • General Admin / day to day duties such scanning, answering the telephone, dealing with queries, photocopying, updating the Design Database (Access) ensuring that emails are dealt with / passed on to the correct person if it cannot be dealt with correctly.
  • Updating the CAD calendars with day to day work, with relevant Job Number from Navision and confirming when drawings are expected to ensure sufficient urgency is communicated where necessary.
  • The allocation of drawing work to the CAD Design Team and updating Imprest to reflect SiteStatus (New General Arrangement Drawing Instructions)
  • Scanning in and save notes from the Engineer and save to the server and then allocate them to the CAD Technician
  • Initial review of scope of works, and notification of any civils requirements to the Civils department (Scans, Trial Digs etc) – ensuring these are managed and coordinated to completion.
  • Ensuring that sufficient and correct Purchase Order cover exists for all works – prior to instruction.

Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of Telecoms Industry
  • Educated to a good level in commercial discipline
  • Understanding prioritisation of own workload and team workload
  • Experience of managing processes
    Knowledge of internal and client systems (eg Imprest, Omnix, Evenflow, Cluttons Portal, SOL) is advantageous but not essential as training can be given
