Role Overview & Responsibilities

EcoGen UK is currently seeking a Roofer/Solar Installer to join our team. Our company specialises in Residential and Commercial solar panel installations.

We are specifically looking for an experienced roofer who can handle various roof types such as Concrete, Plain tile, slate, and metal sheet roofs. Your responsibilities will include installing the mechanical framework for solar panels and the panels themselves.

While prior experience is preferred, we are open to considering candidates without extensive experience and providing training for the right individual. The ideal candidate should be self-driven, well-organized, and capable of managing their own workload. You will collaborate closely with an electrician to ensure high-quality installation workmanship.

Our projects involve a mix of domestic and light commercial installations in and around Birmingham and the West Midlands, and we work as a team to complete them successfully.

Responsibilities:

• Install solar panels and other components of solar energy systems.
• Inspect and maintain existing solar energy systems.
• Conduct site surveys to determine the best placement of solar panels.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
• Understand the principles of electricity and wiring.
• Troubleshoot solar energy systems.

Benefits:

• Rates from £300 to £700 per day, travel costs are paid and overnight accomidation is also paid were nesessary.
• We are flexible to accommodate self employed persons or employed depending on preference.
