HGV Class 1 Tank Driver

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We require experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for temporary agency work on tanks in Grantham.

The work will be as and when required; dictated by fluctuations in workload/volume, sick and holiday cover. Bookings can be for anything between 1 day and a week at a time and the full week bookings can be either day runs Monday to Friday, or tramping (nights out) all week. We have work available on other local contracts for drivers needing more consistency. This involves general haulage or refrigerated trunking in Grantham or other tank work in Newark.

This position involves driving class 1 articulated trucks with tank trailers containing liquids. Deliveries/collections will be nationwide. Previous tank experience would be preferred but is not essential as this is fairly straight forward work. We require professional, well-presented drivers, able to communicate well and represent our client when dealing with their customers.

Requirements

• Drivers must have a valid UK HGV 1 (c+e entitlement) which they have held for at least 1 year and drivers must have consistent experience of driving class 1 for the last year.
• Candidates must have no more than 3 points on their licence and no serious convictions like DR/DD/CD/DD offenses.
• Valid digital tachograph and Driver CPC are essential.
• Drivers must have excellent tachograph legislation and drivers rule knowledge as infringements will not be tolerated.
• Ability to commute to Grantham.
