The job itself

Mature Personal Assistant required for a young gentleman, aged 19 years, with autism and learning difficulties.

The young man enjoys being out and socialising in the community. He enjoys walking, bus rides, travelling to local attractions, e.g. Bridlington, Hull, Filey, Bempton, etc. He also likes train rides, swimming and visiting CEX in Bridlington, which needs to be limited to once a month due to this being a current obsession. He is a very likeable and sociable young man, who is very friendly and enjoys the company of others.

The gentleman struggles with his road sense, so he would need to be supervised at all times whilst out. He loves his X-Box, museums and in particular war museums.

He requires someone with similar interests, who is able to build up a relationship whilst continuing to ensure safety and promoting independence wherever possible.
