Manual Machinist
Role Overview & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Production leader you will work a day shift Mon - Thurs 7.00am - 3.00pm Friday 7.00am - 2.00pm.
You will be experienced in machining using a manual lathe, Bridgeport and surface grinder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manufacture tools, jigs and fixtures to aid production to meet productivity and maintained quality standards required by our customers.
- Assist the maintenance and repair of plant equipment
- Work at an acceptable level of speed and to high standards.
- Reading, interpreting and understanding of drawings, work cards, specifications and other relevant technical documents.
- Working with materials such as Titanium’s, Stainless Steels, Jethete and Nimonics & others.
- Assist in training of other employees as required on the manufacture and use of tools.
- Identify and communicate improvements to processes or procedures identified during the performance.
- Clocking on and off all operations being undertaken on internal system.

- Compliance with all Dynamic Aerospace Fabrications procedures and work instructions within the quality manual.
· Comply with all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those related to Health and Safety, Data Protection and the issued Employee Handbook
· Be expected to carry out any other such duties as may reasonably be required of you and commensurate with your level within the Company.
Skills & Experience
· Experience of working in a toolroom connected with press work, jigs and fixtures.
- Strong attention to detail and methodical.
- Ability to work to instructions with limited supervision.
- Capability of working in a high volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve departmental and business objectives.
- Maintain good housekeeping practice
Qualifications
· Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering
· Relevant City & Guilds Certification or NVQ
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £16.01-£17.36 per hour
