Manufacturing Engineer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Droitwich, Worcestershire.

As a Engineer you will provide engineering and technical support for Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) castings in our Turbine Aerofoils Business.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on new product development as well as legacy products and continuous improvement initiatives.

On a day to day basis your role will involve:

• Development of parts and processes to meet specification requirements for all dimensional aspects of product.
• Provide program management for an individual portfolio of parts.
• Continuously reduce cost to manufacture through improvement projects and waste reduction activities.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and provide root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and create written manufacturing process instructions for investment cast products.
• Work concurrently with customers to improve manufacturability of castings.
• Provide imaginative, thorough and practicable solutions to wide range of difficult problems
• Independently determinate general approach and specific solutions to technical problems
• Successfully carry out complex projects and/or participate in project leadership or program planning
• Review the work upon completion for adequacy and meeting objectives
• Build and maintain customer relationships

Salary: £25,070.37-£46,522.30 per year
