We have a number of opportunities for people with a sense of fair play and common sense to patrol and enforce the parking restrictions across the whole of the City of Derby.

As well as issuing Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles contravening those restrictions, you will also work directly with the public to give clear and helpful parking advice.

You will be required to follow clear procedures and use your judgement in a responsible way. Support, extensive training and a learn and grow approach are all things you can expect. For this post you must have the resilience to be able to work outside, mainly on your own and in all weathers.

You will be based at Friar Gate Studios, Ford Street, Derby. DE1 1EE. Unless otherwise stated, the posts operate on a 37 hour working week on a rotational basis.

As part of our safer recruitment checks the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

All employees will normally be appointed to the minimum of the grade for the job. For reasons connected with a particular need of the Council it may be appropriate, subject to approval, to appoint to a higher point in the pay grade.

Please be aware that where there are staff within the organisation who are 'at risk' of redundancy, requirements to redeploy to another suitable role will apply and take priority.

Quick Tip! Remember to align your personal statement to the Essential Criteria in the Person Specification
