Sessional Tutor

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Daruma is looking for an experienced sessional tutor to join its growing workforce.
Daruma is a training organisation that has a wealth of sector based knowledge and a passion for working with the unemployed.

You will join us at our most exciting time, with really strong plans and partnerships with a host of colleges and providers across the UK.

Due to contract growth and expansion, we are delighted to advertise for Tutors specializing in delivering employability skills. The role will require the successful candidate to have a good understanding of the delivery of employability qualifications.

Duties

· Deliver learning in group sessions (face to face an online)
· Provide 121 support and additional learning support where required
· Provide an effective IAG service
· Engage referral sources and young people to achieve starts on programme
· Provide engaging and exciting training sessions to inspire and motivate learners.
· The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
· Work to participant retention targets.
· Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
· Candidates must be flexible to pick up other duties as and when required to assist the team overall.

Essential Criteria:

· Recognised teaching qualification (for example any of the following quals; PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert ED, PGCE etc)
· Must have experience of delivering Employability and/or vocational training in a classroom and 121 setting
· Demonstrate energy and passion to motivate and train learners
· Enthusiastic individual who is able to make a real impact and make learning exciting
· Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
· Full, clean driving licence and own vehicle.
· Must be flexible with travel if required.

All candidates must be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
