Role Overview & Responsibilities

Family partnership which owns and farms and rents 364ha/900ac in hand, split between organic Autumn calving dairy and arable production.

- 300 dairy cows calving late Summer/Autumn.

-32:32 Boumatic milking parlour with backing gate. Excellent housing facilities with floodwashed cubicles and straw yards.

-Efficient calf rearing unit with combination of straw yards and igloos

-Grazing/forage based system, using Agrinet and rotational grazing

Position Overview – key responsibilities

-Day to day operational tasks of the dairy herd such as milking, grazing, calf rearing, livestock husbandry, fertility, feeding, bedding etc 365 days of the year.

-Helping with some aspects of managerial of running the dairy herd such as

-Grass measuring, record keeping, with Uniform Agri, forward planning, ordering and purchasing inputs, herd health, monitoring KPIs, working with contractors, vet, nutritionist.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
