Packing Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Cogent Staffing are recruiting for an experienced Packing Operative for our busy production and distribution client based in Wakefield, WF4. Temporary to permanent roles available for the right candidate.

Shifts/salary:

• Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30 Friday 07:30-13:00
• Starting rate £10.50
• Permanent pay rate £11ph

The role:

• Packing products into the correct packaging, carefully and accurately
• Labelling products accurately
• Picking and assembling products for dispatch
• Palletising packed boxes
• Moving products around the warehouse
• Working on a bench to pack products and orders
• Working from written instruction, reading and writing in English
• Lifting boxes
• Training provided into assembling products and testing functions

The candidate:

• Must be physically fit to move around the warehouse, move products, lift orders
• Must have a good level of English speaking, reading and writing
• Ideally has experience in a similar role
• Is looking for a full time role and permanent job opportunity after 12 qualifying weeks
