Accounts Manager

Role Overview & Responsibilities

M Squared Accountants is a firm of Chartered Accountants, with offices in Fraserburgh and Peterhead. We have an exciting opportunity for an accounts manager to join our established team within our Peterhead office. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has good managerial skills and a drive to provide clients with an excellent service. We pride ourselves on client service and making sure that every client counts.

Duties for this particular vacancy will include:

- Supervising and reviewing accounts work, including VAT returns if applicable;

- Mentoring other members of the team;

- Supporting the management team with ad-hoc projects as and when required;

- Potentially holding meetings with clients with regards to bookkeeping or year end accounts preparation and tax returns.

The suitable candidate will:

- Ideally be CA/ACCA qualified or equivalent;

- Will hold up-to date accounts and tax knowledge, including previous computation of personal and corporation tax returns;

- Knowledge of Xero and other accounting packages is advantageous however not essential;

- Will possess excellent communication skills, both spoken and written;

- Efficient use of excel/word packages is essential;

- Will demonstrate an ability to be organised and ensure deadlines are met, both internal and external.

Job Type: Full or Part Time

Work Location: Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

Salary dependent on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
