Interior Designer
Role Overview & Responsibilities
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an aspiring Interior Designer to join our ever-growing team at Criterion Capital.

Key responsibilities:
- Undertake interior design projects from concept to completion
- Define project requirements and schedule during the construction design development phase
- Research and recommend materials and products for sourcing
- Produce “sample” and “mood products”
- Supervise work progress
- Work closely with designers, decorators, architects, and constructors
- Research and follow industry changes, evolutions, trends, and best practice
- Work with the procurement manager to ensure commercial viability
- Consider long term costs in use and maintenance requirements
- Such other duties as the employer may require
Knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:
In-depth knowledge of layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all interior installations.- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs
- Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
- Communication and presentation skills
- Project management skills
- Commercial awareness with an ability to make judgements based on the optimum blend of beauty, quality, service and whole-life cost
- Ability to work at pace and to tight deadlines
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Highly organized and with great attention to detail.
- A hands-on, positive and proactive “can do” attitude
- A team player
- 3 years + working experience in designing and decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new construction)
- Excellent portfolio of previous work
- BS degree in Interior Design or similar
