We are looking to hire Delivery Driver to join our experienced team located in the Southend-on-Sea. As our Delivery Driver you would support our civils operations by transporting materials, equipment and safety items to our civils teams. You will pick up and drop off items whilst adhering to the assigned routes and time schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to our teams in a safe, timely manner
• Collecting items from sites, ensuring sites are clear within tight timescales
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that all orders are complete, and any discrepancies are dealt with at the time.
• Assisting your colleagues with loading and unloading of heavy items from vehicles
• Driving a variety of vehicles, reporting near misses, accidents and arranging for vehicle repairs when necessary
• Responsible for ensuring vehicle is fuelled and clean and tidy
• Use of forklifts, pallet jacks to load and unload vehicles (With appropriate training)

Requirements:

• A valid driver's licence
• Driving experience Required
• Proficiency using GPS devices
• Physical strength and ability to load and unload vehicles
• Proven experience working in a warehouse environment
• The ability to safely operate warehouse or on-site machinery and equipment needed to manipulate loads
• The ability to stand for extended periods
