Role Overview & Responsibilities

Caffeine&Machine is a coffee house, licensed bar and restaurant, events space, boutique B&B, merchandise, clothing and living art gallery. C&M is designed very simply as a place to go, a destination if you appreciate moving things. C&M offers everything you expect from a modern member’s club – except you don’t have to be a member to enjoy it!

As Head Barista, you are responsible for bar and waiting staff duties, and are expected to help lead the team in conjunction with the Team Leaders and Management. In particular, you will work closely with management to ensure that the standard of our coffee, tea and hot drinks offering is consistently high, and you are responsible for all barista related duties including ordering, monitoring stock levels and reporting too. You will supervise the training of all new members of staff to ensure that all staff at Caffeine&Machine are able to use the coffee and tea products, equipment and machines safely and to a high standard. You will work closely with the General Manager, Assistant General Managers and your fellow front of house team to ensure that the bar and restaurant run smoothly. Given the importance of health and safety, you must maintain high standards of hygiene and ensure that you abide by and implement all company health and safety procedures and guidelines. You will also work closely with the Marketing team to develop the coffee branding and merchandise lines.

Salary: £11.50-£13.50 per hour
