Role Overview & Responsibilities
My client are looking for a Data Analyst to join their new Master Data function and provide support in data administration and master data management. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good analytical skills, some experience of working on projects and be proficient in using data management tools and software, such as SQL or Excel. You will work closely with the data management team and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and reliable data is maintained.
This role is being offered with a salary of up to £35k and a hybrid work schedule, with 2/3 days onsite in Loughborough and 2/3 days remote, with genuine progression opportunities as the Master Data function grows to be involved in Master Data Governance as well.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in data entry and data cleansing activities, including updating and maintaining data in databases and other systems.
- Conduct data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Perform routine data admin tasks, such as data extraction, data profiling, and data quality checks.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of master data records, including customer, product, and vendor data.
- Support data analysis and reporting activities, including generating basic reports and performing data analysis to identify trends and patterns.
- Participate in data-related projects and initiatives, providing support as needed.
The Person:
- Must have experience in a previous Data Analyst role, either using advanced Excel (Pivots, VLOOKUPS etc) or intermediate SQL
- Previous experience of working with large datasets
- Some experience of project work is essential
- Excellent attention to detail with passion for data
