Role Overview & Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare assistant to join the team on a 12 bedded General surgery ward Ward 15B.

You will be responsible for working along side a Staff Nurse to support all aspects of patient care.

The successful applicant will have good communication skills, the ability to work in a fast paced environment and a passion for providing our patients with the highest standard of care.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients.

Assisting patients with pressure area care

Assisting patients with nutritional needs

Management of patients skin integrity

Recording of patient observations
