Role Overview & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure the accurate processing of jobs within the Transport Management Software.
  • Ensure all customer orders, PODs, and associated paperwork are processed in a timely manner in order to correctly raise invoices
  • To promptly answer telephone calls within the department
  • To facilitate the timely production of sales invoices within our own systems and via customer portals
  • Chase customers for PO numbers
  • Ensuring that all driver run sheets and relevant information is prepared for the weekly pay roll within deadlines.
  • General administrative tasks to provide support to the Heavy Haulage Operations team.
  • Handle customer query’s in a timely manner
  • Manage customer accounts to ensure they are set up for invoicing
  • To provide support to the operations team in all areas to assist them in providing a high level of customer service.
  • Assist the operations team supply customers with accurate quotations for work
  • Escalate any incident that may have a detrimental effect on the operations ability to deliver an excellent customer service
  • ensure that drivers all following delivery schedules and health and safety guidelines
  • Check all times that drivers have relevant documentation before leaving;
  • maintains records regarding the movement and location of freight, containers and staff.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative
  • Previous Experience preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £26,000.00 per year
