Role Overview & Responsibilities

The role of firefighter is essential to the safety of the airport’s operation. We are currently looking for energetic, self-motivated, and proactive individuals to join our team.

This will be a permanent role which currently has 4 on and 4 off shift patterns alternating between days and nights. The typical day-to-day duties will include:

· The prime role is to be a member of a team that responds to and deals with the emergency incidents on the airport site including those relating to aircraft and buildings.

· Responding to Medical emergencies / first aid calls.

· Undertaking station duties to maintain operational readiness of equipment and personnel.

· Clean, inspect and test vehicles and equipment.

· Winter operations (snow clearing, de-icing).

· Other duties to support the airport operation.

The successful candidate will have:

· A full UK driving licence, with a view to achieving HGV standard within approx. 6 months

Successful candidates will be invited to a selection day which will include a few practical assessments and a competency-based interview.
