Estimator

Our client a well established Multi disciplinary Construction Company are currently looking for a Estimator to join their team based in Manchester. They specialise in advance solutions in the construction, civil engineering and multi-utility sectors. This is a great opportunity for an Estimator to join the team and work on some exciting projects.

The successful Estimator will have a varied background in Civil engineering and have experience of prepare analytical estimates from first principles for construction projects in water structures and highway environments. The Estimator will have a minimum of 5 years' experience of successfully winning projects in a range of values.

Estimator Position Overview

• Prepare analytical estimates from first principles
• Submit bids in accordance with ITT instructions ensuring that all aspects of the tender have been addressed in a professional manner.
• Review tender information to assess workscope, taking off accurate quantities where necessary,
• Ensure that delivery is in accordance with the requirements standards and targets
• Work with partners, subcontractors and other professionals
• Show strong experience of winning projects in a range of values

Estimator Position Requirements

• HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or other technically-related subject
• Minimum 5 years' experience in estimating practice with an understanding of Civil Engineering; especially water, wastewater, highways and groundworks.
• Excellent skills in estimating software such as Valesco, Causeway, Conquest or Candy.
• Proven financial and commercial management skills
• Good working knowledge of CESMM, HWMM, SMM7
• Good working knowledge of NEC forms of Contract 5 years experience in project management
• UK driving licence
• Be willing to travel around the North West
