Warehouse Assistant

Argofield Limited (trading as BeddingandBeyond.com and WorldofWallpaper.com) is the UK’s leading online retailer of children’s bedding, bedroom accessories and home décor products. We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant to join our busy team based in Burnley.

You will be a good team player and your role will play a vital part in the chain to ensure excellent customer service. Applicants will need to have a forklift licence (counterbalance). Your duties will be varied but will mainly consist of manual work which may involve some heavy lifting. The ability to work fast and accurately is essential together with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Goods In - Helping to load and unload deliveries

Dealing with couriers and signing for deliveries

Accurately checking orders and reporting any shortages or damages

Ensuring items are correctly and safely stored

Ensuring good house keeping in the warehouse and packing areas

Preparing and packing wholesale orders

Assisting with stock takes

Assisting in the packing department as and when required

Experience/Qualifications

Forklift licence (counterbalance)

Experience of working in a busy warehouse environment is advantageous

Good manual dexterity

Ability to understand written English

Personal Qualities

Reliable and conscientious

Attention to detail, accurate in work

Team player, with a positive attitude

Ability to undertake work of a physical nature, there may be some heavy lifting

Salary: up to £10.50 per hour, depending on experience

Hours of Work: 8.30 am - 5.00 pm with an hours' unpaid lunch break, Monday to Friday. Occasional Saturday morning working may be required.
