Plant Area Assistant part time

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Bay View Garden Centre is an independent Garden Centre and Restaurant in Bolton-le-Sands with fantastic views across Morecambe Bay.

We are looking to recruit a knowledgeable, enthusiastic horticulturist to join our friendly experienced team in the Plant Area on a part time basis, ideally 24 hours per week to work alternate weekends.

This role would include the following:

· Assisting and advising customers when buying plants and other garden related products

· Merchandising and replenishing stock

· Watering and maintenance of the plants/houseplants

· Other tasks set by the Plant Area Manager/Supervisor

· Lifting and carrying customer purchases to their cars if required

Uniform, parking and staff discount included.

A good knowledge of plants is essential for this role and horticultural training preferred but not required as training will be given.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary: £10.42 per hour
