Estate Cleaner

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Battersea Fields Residents Organisation Ltd. is a residents’ led democratic organisation, established in order to improve and provide an effective and quality Housing Management service for those living on Battersea Park Estate.

We have two vacancies on offer to join our dedicated estate cleaning team.

1st vacancy is 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday plus one day each weekend on a monthly rotation. (6 days / 47 hours per week)

2nd vacancy is 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. (5 days / 40 hours per week)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operational

• Cleaning of communal internal and external areas such as lifts, stairs, paths and green spaces in accordance with the cleaning schedules.
• Removing any dumped refuse bags and household items to refuse chambers or other refuse areas.
• Checking communal lighting and replacing blown bulbs.
• Sweeping of hard surfaces and litter picking.
• Reporting required repairs / maintenance in communal areas.
• Other reasonable duties as directed by the Cleaning and Housing Managers.

2. Personal

• Ensure clothing, footwear and personal hygiene is of the highest standards at all times.
• Ensure you wear and use the personal protective equipment supplied to you.

3. General

• Good communication skills including a decent command of English.
• Perform any other duties that may reasonably be required.
• Suggest areas of improvement and take any corrective action as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.05-£11.95 per hour
