Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job Title:

Warehouse Operative

Reporting to:

Warehouse Manager

Qualifications:

Overhead crane training & sideloader/ forklift certificate is desirable.

Key Competencies and Characteristics required:

Ability to work to deadlines on own or part of small team to a schedule of work

Warehousing skills coupled with the relevant skills and experience to enable

safe movement and storage of goods. (where applicable sideloader licence and training would be beneficial).

An ability to understand and learn different machinery to enable cutting and lifting of materials.

Excellent housekeeping to enable management of stock, maintenance of equipment and processing of returned goods.

Basic health and safety knowledge relevant to role.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Correct cutting and movement of materials to fulfil customer orders to schedule and maintenance of workspace to health and safety guidelines and audit of own inventory.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To enable safe and efficient receipt, movement and storage of goods in warehouse
• To work efficiently in the operation of machinery to lift and cut material to work schedule provided and correct sizes.
• To assist in the management and audit of stock in the warehouse by good housekeeping and maintenance of quality control procedures
• Timely processing of returned goods back into stock
• To work as part of a team with drivers to load and unload materials in timely fashion
• To show courtesy and be helpful to customers/suppliers when collecting, delivering or returning materials to warehouse.
• Maintain a safe workplace without risk to health by proper and timely assessment of risks to health and safety, and to implement measures and arrangements identified as necessary from the management.
• Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy as required.
• Any other duties as required by the company

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
