Female Personal Assistant Carer (Support Worker)

2 Different Shift Patterns are available for this role!

Morning Shift:

3-hour shifts (6:30 am to 9:30 am) Monday & Friday

Days:

7-hour shifts (11:00 am to 6:00 pm) two weekdays a week (days to be discussed) + the opportunity to work some extra hours some weekends

Rates: £14.00 per hour

Location: Dartford

Duration: Permanent

I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to support with my personal, social and domestic needs.

I am a 23-year-old female and I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2 which has profoundly weakened my voluntary muscles. As a result, I am a full-time powered wheelchair user, my respiratory system is compromised and the majority or my nutrition is met via a gastrostomy.

I have just completed my final year at the University of Sussex studying MSci chemistry.

Now I have finished university I will be living at home with my Mum, Dad, and dog. I love being outdoors and spend a lot of my time in the summer visiting National Trust parks and zoos. I am a massive Disney, Disneyland Paris, LEGO and musicals fan! I also enjoy music, my favourite bands being The Script, McFly and The Vamps. I enjoy baking and crafting using my smart cutting machine. I also enjoy shopping and going to the cinema.

I am going to be looking for a job/graduate scheme, hopefully in the medicinal chemistry/drug discovery field and will need PAs to support me in work and be able to drive my Motability wheelchair accessible vehicle.

5.6 week's holiday pro rata.

About You

You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client's care therefore full training in his needs is provided.

You will need

- To be physically fit, calm, patient and caring

- Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative

- Willing to attend medical appointments as and when required

- To have a good sense of humour

- A mature and responsible attitude

- Good communication skills

- To be fluent in English.

- To be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways.

- To be a non-smoker

Full UK driving licence essential as I would require you to drive my automatic Motability vehicle WAV.
