The Role

Working as part of the Analytical Support Team within our Pharma Services Business Unit, the Equipment Technician will perform routine scheduled maintenance and calibration of scientific analytical equipment. The post holder will also troubleshoot scientific analytical equipment faults/breakdowns and support the validation of new scientific analytical equipment.

The role will alos invlove liaising with external contractors to ensure timely completion of external calibrations and review / approval of contractor supplied documentation.

Essential Criteria

• A-Levels (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering or Mathematics
• Experience of calibrating or repairing technical instruments

Desirable Criteria

(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exist)

• BSc (or equivalent) in a Science Subject or Engineering Subject
• Experience of calibrating scientific analytical equipment
• Experience troubleshooting instrument faults
• Experience of working in a GMP/Laboratory environment
• Experience of liaising with external contractors
