Crystallisation Team Leader

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The Role

Working as part of the Physical Sciences team, based in our global headquarters in Craigavon, you will be responsible for the development of fit-for-purpose crystallisation procedures on behalf of external clients or in support of Almac Sciences' chemistry projects.

These include, but are not limited to, determination of solubility in organic solvents, determination of metastable zonewidths, use of Design of Experiment approaches, use of PAT technology, investigation of diverse crystallisation parameters and transfer of crystallisation procedures to kilo lab or plant in support of Almac Sciences' production teams.

Essential Criteria

  • BSc (Or equivalent) in chemistry
  • Experience of development of crystallisation processes and transfer to manufacture.
  • Experience in leading technical aspects of development projects.
  • Able to lead and mentor a team of development chemists

Desirable Criteria

(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exists)

  • PhD in chemistry
  • Experience in taking a technical leadership role across several complex crystallisation projects in parallel.
  • Experience in troubleshooting challenges during crystallisation isolation processes
  • Experience in leading a successful team delivering crystallisation process development
