Data Cabling Engineer

We are a leading fibre optic network supplier offering installation, cabling and testing to our continued expansion we require Fibre Optic Cable Installation Technicians to join our growing team to work in new and existing Data Centre buildings in London. We have several positions available in UK London ,Ireland and Europe.

THE WORK IS IN THE SLOUGH AREA OF LONDON

The Ideal candidate:

• Experience in installation, termination and testing of copper cables
• Experience in installation, termination and testing of Fibre Optics cabling
• Ability to follow design drawings and schematics.
• Must be able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team
• Must have a focus on Health & Safety
• Excellent communication skills
• Use hand and power tools competently and safely

Duties & Responsibilities

• Installing and dressing Cat 5e / Cat 6 / Cat 6A (Copper Cable)
• Installing and dressing fiber cables
• Install Cabinets
• Install Racks
• Terminate and test Cat 5e / Cat 6 / Cat 6A (Copper Cable)
• Terminate and test Fibre Optic Cable
• Patching Fibre cables

Qualifications but not Essential

• Minimum 2 years experience with installations of fibre and copper cables.
• Manual Handling. (Will be provided in-house)
• Full Driving Licence.
• Working at Heights. (Will be provided in-house)

Skills beneficial:

Electrician, Fibre optic, Driving licence

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £15.00-£28.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
