11+ Tutor (English) - Online

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate tutor in English who can help our students improve academically by providing small-group instruction and supplementary learning materials. The successful candidate must develop a strong rapport with students of varying personalities and learning styles, communicate effectively with their parents, and have a background teaching children as young as eight years of age. The ideal tutor must also be able to work independently, have strong classroom management skills, be familiar with current educational strategies such as behaviour management and provide feedback on students' progress. The candidate must be available to work on Weekdays Online.

Requirements:

• Have successfully helped students to attain a place at a Grammar/Independent school for 11+ in a small group environment;
• Strong understanding of the 11+ curriculum;
• Good communication and time management skills;
• Motivated, approachable and enthusiastic about working with young children;
• Reliable with good work ethic;
• A formal teaching qualification is essential but at least 3 years prior tutoring experience is required.

There will be an opportunity to help students on a 1:1 basis and during our Summer Intensive Course.

All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and Enhanced DBS checked (or must be willing to apply and pay for a DBS check).

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £20.00-£35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday

• Sutton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Bachelor's (required)

Experience:

• Tutoring: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• enhanced DBS (preferred)
