Role: Junior Design Engineer

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum

Location: Nottingham (Hybrid working)

Location: permanent – 37.5 hours per week

Overview of the Junior Design Engineer

2fawcett are recruiting for a Junior Design Engineer for a fantastic company based in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a degree educated (or apprentice trained) Engineer who is looking for their next steps in their engineering career. Ideally with a small amount of industrial experience.

Responsibilities of the Junior Design Engineer

• Creating new engineering technical drawings/documents for products
• Designing new products and improving older products with new designs
• Design & prototype new products for manufacture
• Inspecting parts and first off samples
• Keeping to time management and project deadlines
• Creating BOM’s
• Using 3D printing for prototyping parts & testing
• 3D scanning and CAD modelling for products

Requirements of the Junior Design Engineer

• Great communication skills
• Working well as part of a team and working individually
• HNC/HND/ NVQ L2 in Engineering or Apprentice educated
• Strong passion for Engineering
• Ability to sketch up initial drafts using CAD software
• Knowledge/experience using engineering measuring tools
• Solid works experience is desirable
