EXPERIENCED HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR UHNW PROPERTY IN HENLEY-ON-THAMES

Where: Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £45,000 negotiable, depending on experience

Status: Live-out

We are working with a wonderful client in South Oxfordshire to source a highly skilled, committed, and experienced full-time live-out Housekeeper for their large property in Henley-on-Thames. Reporting to a House Manager and working as part of a small established team, you will be an excellent team player with brilliant housekeeping and laundry skills, as well as prior experience working in high-end private households.

Ensuring that very high standards of cleanliness are maintained across the property, you will be jointly responsible for laundry, ironing, wardrobe management as well as general and deep cleaning. You will also care for antiques, art works and fine furnishings, so it is essential that you must have excellent knowledge of how to care for luxury furnishings and surfaces and have a good understanding of the use of appropriate cleaning products.

The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, organised, and trustworthy, as well as having the ability to work autonomously when required. Though a full-time chef is employed, you should also be able to prepare some light meals such as soups, salads and sandwiches from time to time when required, and be willing to lend the Chef a hand in the kitchen during busy periods. Ideally you will have prior experience of serving at the table and have a discreet, professional and respectful nature.

Usual working hours are from 8am-5pm, working 5 days per week on a rolling schedule and should you work over weekends, you will have two consecutive days off during the week. A live-out role, you will be based in the local vicinity to ensure a fuss-free commute – though a driver is not required for the role, it would be a bonus is you could drive.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

· Daily cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen and living areas

· Changing bed linen, making beds, and tidying and cleaning bedrooms

· Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management, including caring for fine fabrics

· Packing and unpacking for the principal

· Polishing silver, glass, marble, and wood surfaces

· Caring for antiques and artworks

· Rubbish and recycling management

· Greeting tradespeople and contractors

· Assisting the Chef in the kitchen when required; preparing light meals on request

· Laying/clearing tables, serving at the table, serving drinks etc.

· Ad-hoc duties as required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

· Prior housekeeping experience in a high-end private household

· Fluency in English and the right to live and work in the UK

· Hardworking, dedicated and high attention to detail

· Able to work independently with little supervision, good team player

· Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet

· Based locally in the Henley-on-Thames area

· Excellent checkable references
